When I first started looking for where young Jane came from and found a Jane PARLETT in Swanage I have to admit
that I did not think that it could be the one as Swanage is such a long way from Portsmouth - but after a bit of
checking I found what I think is her brother Henry also from Swanage in the area - so I have a feeling a number
of the family moved from Swanage to the Portsmouth area - which adds to the feeling that this is the right Jane!!!
Her brother - good old Henry - lived long enough for the 1851 census which shows him as born Swanage but unfortunately
young Jane disappears and indeed does not even show in the 1841 census - although there is a death for a Jane SEAGROVE
in 1850 in Portsea Island which looks very attractive - but if that is her where was she in 1841???
